Dental Implants
Colorado Springs, Colorado
It is rare that we are able to go through life without doing some sort of damage to our teeth. Naturally as we age our teeth go through normal wear and tear. Some people experience cracks and chips while others may even lose a few teeth. In the past when this occurred patients were usually given dentures. However, as dentistry has advanced, patients can now have dental implants placed to restore a missing tooth or teeth.
Dental implants are great for those patients who are missing teeth and are experiencing trouble eating and chewing. When Dental implants are placed, they will act and look just like a normal tooth does. They are durable, reliable, and should be taken care of just as you would a normal tooth.
Dental Implants can help stop bone loss
The gap in your smile caused by the loss of a tooth is a obvious cosmetic issue, but there are more serious physical results. Missing teeth can result in the loss in the ability to chew or eat a proper diet and ultimately even bone loss. To remain strong and healthy, a jawbone requires the chewing action of teeth to stimulate it. If you are unable to chew properly, the jawbone can begin to atrophy and weaken. Without the proper support of facial bones and teeth, your face can have a prematurely aged appearance. Dental implants are a great solution to avoid bone loss and the premature aging that accompanies it.
How Dental Implants Work
The process of dental implants won’t happen overnight! In fact it may take two or more appointments with Dr. Hall to start and complete the process. Dr. Hall will have to first examine your jaw and decide if the structure is healthy and suitable enough to hold a dental implant in place. 3D imaging data, generated with the use of Galileos, is used to make create a surgical guide for your dental implant. Once the implant is placed in the bone, it must heal for a few months. When the implant is ready, Dr. Hall will use CEREC to restore your tooth with a dental crown.
Our Technology Ensures A Perfect Fit
Here at our Colorado Springs office we can ensure each patient that their dental implant surgery is performed using top of the line dental technology that allows for computer guided surgery. Dr. Hall uses CEREC and Galileos machines on every implant patient to ensure that the implants are properly placed, fitted, and integrated with the jaw.
